How do you reconcile notions of identity in a seemingly multicultural country? As a first generation Australian-Russian-Jew, Krov reveals a small insight into how my hybridised identity fits within an Australian landscape. My project examines the multiplicity of belonging through focusing inwards on my family and extended family in the Russian-Jewish community within Melbourne’s South. Using a combination of family archives, conversations and my own pictures - Krov acts an archive for remembering and documenting the ever-changing definition of Australian identity, while revealing how new connections can occur through migration. Selection of images from a wider body of work. Special thanks to Dr. Kelly Hussey-Smith
